Piracy is illegal no matter what is being copied. Any type of piracy is the illegal stealing of others hard work. I've noticed from the article that piracy of freeware and software gets a person more fines and jail time. Piracy Software does not have as great of penalties as freeware and software. But no matter what piracy is being committed, it is still wrong and illegal.

• Freeware: Complete and functional software that does not require payment or other compensation (such as nags or advertising) for its use. Freeware may be a proprietary license with no access to the source code.
o Ex: Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome
• Shareware: Software that you can try before you buy. It's distributed through on-line services, BBSs, and user groups. You're allowed to try it out and give copies to others, but if you want to keep using it, you must pay the registration fee.
o Ex: Application Software, Operating System
• Open source: Open source describes practices in production and development that promote access to the end product's source materials—typically, their source code.
o Ex: No, I don’t use an open source.
• Commercial software: Commercial software, or less commonly, payware, is computer software that is produced for sale or that serves commercial purposes. Software that is designed and developed for sale to the general public.
o Ex: Manager Plus Pro, Raisers Edge

Congresswomen Gabrielle Giffords Shot, but Surviving

Democrat Gabrielle Giffords was shot through the head Saturday, January 8. She was giving a speech in a grocery store and shooter Jared Loughner ran up and shot her in the head. He killed 6 people, along with a 9-year-old girl, and wounded many more. Giffords in in critical condition currently but is surviving. This is miraculous that she is alive because few can survive a bullet through the head. This incident is very disheartening, this is America. A shooting of a congresswomen should not happen in the United States. It is very sad that something like this would happen. This will impact our nation by partly defining our country with this incident. Foreigners will look at the United States and think about how an American shot another American. Also Congresswomen Giffords is very important to our government, which shows that Loughner did not agree with our government. With his opposing of American government, that shows that some Americans are so against their own government that they choose to go to extreme costs to destroy it.

Oil spill threatens fragile, resource-rich Louisiana wetlands

The recent oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico has destroyed habitats and lives of coastal and marine wildlife. Covering beaches, birds, turtles, fish, and other wildlife. The oil spill has damaged Louisiana's marshland, which is a rich breeding ground for many animals. These marshes will take years to recover from the oil spill, but wildlife officials are tying their best to clean up the marshes. In wildlife centers, the oil on birds are being cleaned off by volunteers and sent back into the wild. Many people are working together to make the Gulf and surrounding areas oil free.
